Palm Circle: Visiting a Military Base

It is hard to imagine that Hawaii well-known for its recreation areas comprises also historically significant military bases, such as Palm Circle. Also known as Pineapple Pentagon, Palm Circle housed the headquarters of the US Army during the years from 1943 to 1945 and contributed to the successful performance of these military operations. Responsible for the supply of qualified US Army personnel, this military base is recognized as an important historical landmark of Hawaii.

When I told my friends that I was going to visit Palm Circle, due to this romantic name of the site, most of them though that I was going to lie in the sun. However, the main goal of my trip was different.
